Episode 59 – DEI’s “Why” – The Lowdown on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

Is it DEI? Eid? Grand? Or is this all just a waste of time and a capitalist mask to positively affect the bottom line? Amber and Erika are joined by the company’s HR specialist and DEI Guru, Diontha Fancher, to uncover the truth behind America’s current obsession with DEI initiatives. Beyond workshops and cliched slogans, we unpack DEI’s historical roots, who can and should do the work, where the money is flowing, and the positive benefits that can motivate us all. Below the surface, Diontha takes us into the fundamental frustrations of doing a fair job effectively and reminds us why liberation is everyone’s business, everywhere they occupy. Listen to get the scoop and learn all about why we are DEI!
